It doesn’t feel like it now that I’ve finished these new additions, but I’ve kept myself busy with making clothes – virtual ones, anyway. Soon, the studio will be in order, and I WILL be sewing. But for now, look at these:
The first two are variations of my first dress, the Milady Gown. The last is the newest “dark” variation, using a completely different texture that was of the same series (only with dark colors). I realized that the dress is pretty, but not everyone likes to wear bright pastels. So I went with darker tones, more “Unseelie Court” kind of feel to it. Which is why I named it the “Queen Mab” gown.
Queen Mab didn’t make an appearance into our literature until Shakespeare, so it’s not like she’s an ancient character in old Celtic Folklore (as far as I read). But modern interpretations of the name are now associated with the land of Faery and/or magick and such. Perfect for any budding sorceress in need of a ballgown!
