Between other projects, resurrecting my Terrariums in a 10 year old AI computer game called Creatures 3, dealing with health issues, and stuff . . . I made pretty gifts for Xmas! I think it’s something special to make something nice and give it to your friends for the holidays. Better than trying to figure out what they want and then spending lots of money to have all your friends covered. The idea of Xmas is too materialistic in this country, I think.

So I’ve learned to give things made by me, and it makes everyone feel happy. I saw a cooking magazine in the checkout stand just a few days ago and couldn’t resist it. Gifts in a Jar! It came with over 40 recipes to make neat gift jars for your friends. I skimmed through them and decided on a Cookie Mix Jar. Originally it was almonds, but I decided I liked walnuts better, and that’s easy to substitute.

I also designed the labels that stick on the jars, with instructions on how to make cookies with the stuff in the jar. 1 Jar of Walnuts ‘n Chocolate cookie mix, 1 and 1/2 cups of softened butter, and 1/2 tsp. of Vanilla.

I’m such a nut!
