I just read this on the Second Life main blog:

Due to a severe content theft bug, we are executing an emergency deploy of Server 1.36.2.20208 today.  This will be a full-grid roll starting ASAP.

I’ve been having teleporting issues all day yesterday and now today. They’ve been doing rolling restarts all across Second Life, it would seem, due to this “content theft bug” . . . Well, I hope they fix the problem soon, and I hope these rolling restarts end. I hate not being able to go anywhere. No shopping, no music… I’m stuck! Grr!

This is not looking good for my reputation! But darn it, I had to cancel another show for another doctor’s appointment. Wish me luck…

On the upside, the Photo Gallery makes sense again. I fixed it! ^.^

Woot! I get to sing to a room full of Russian folks this morning at 10am PST at a place called SOUL’Z*BAR. They’re mad for showtunes, apparently!

Later, though, I sing again at Club Midnight Blue at 5pm PST. It’s on the schedule, but I think it’s a good idea to post something too.

5pm – 7pm PST (SLT) will be Open Mic night. Don’t miss this 2 hour event of fun musical randomness! And maybe some interesting poetry? Will try to take pictures. ^.^ Or if you have any, feel free to share!

Show at 6pm tomorrow. I’ll be at Elvera’s Theatre of Dreams in Second Life, but you can tune into the show via the player in the sidebar. Should be fun! Woot. Songs. Singing.

Woot! I’m performing now. I’ve had two shows and while I don’t feel I did perfectly well, I was decent, and people liked me. So long as all this positive vibe thing keeps happening, I really don’t mind that it’s through a virtual 3D environment like Second Life. Maybe I’m a geek, but the community has always been warm and no one’s really absurd or sinister so far. So that’s nice.

Anyway, you may notice there’s a new tab available to select from; my calendar of events. It didn’t seem to take very long for people to ask me to perform at their venues after the first mini-show! My Debut was supposed to be Monday at the Dream Theatre in Second Life, but my friend yesterday asked if I could do an impromptu performance that morning – which I did.

Then I was asked to perform there again on Friday at 1pm PST (which is the same as Second Life Time). And I was asked to perform today too, which I did, for a nice crowd of Russian people! The sweet lady who owned that place told me my avi looked like a princess. ^o^ *squee* I like how I dress my avatar.

So, this is becoming very fun to do. It’s fun playing with my voice and some backing tracks, now that I have a mixer set up with a condenser microphone. The reverb effects are nice, as well as the power of the sound through the mic.

I happened to have recorded the stream of my first show, and I may or may not put up a little snippet of it. I’m still deciding. Maybe I’ll be nice, and maybe I’ll be mean.
